The weekend that changed the world: the mystery of Jerusalem's empty tomb
By Peter Walker
Marshall Pickering. 220 pages. £9.99
ISBN 0 551 03135 2

This is a well-written and interesting account of the resurrection. The first of three parts sets the scene of the events recorded in the Gospels of the last few days of the life of Jesus. The third section deals with the significance of the event.

The author aims at those interested in the story for the first time and also for those wanting to have a more accurate picture and succeeds very well. The story comes to life in this book. But it is the middle section that distinguishes the book from others such as Who moved the stone? and The Easter Enigma.
