REVEALING JESUS AS MESSIAH
Identifying Isaiah's Servant of the Lord
By Stuart Sacks. Christian Focus. 160 pages.
ISBN 1 85792 311 1

This is not an in-depth study of what are often called the Servant Songs in Isaiah. Neither is it an evangelistic volume for giving to unsaved Jews. But it is a devotional study which aims to draw believers into a greater dependence on and identification with the servanthood of Jesus.

Stuart Sacks outlines the historical and spiritual settings of the Songs in Isaiah 42, 49, 50 and 52, 53, and then goes on to comment on the Servant's source of power and confidence, his trials and his sufferings, his lowliness and quietness, his triumph and fruitfulness, and his atoning sacrifice.
