The Lord is King:
rediscovering freedom
By Hugh Williamson. Crossway. 127 pages. £4.99
ISBN 1 85684 166 9

This is a welcome re-issue of a 1993 book, then titled Jesus is Lord, which provides a very fresh and stimulating journey through a number of key passages from both Testaments, bringing out some unusual connections between them.

As the author says on page 115: 'My motive was the oppressive heaviness with which, in my experience, the Lordship of Christ is usually presented in the church today. I believe that this is far removed from the revolutionary joy of the first Christians as reflected in the pages of the New Testament.'
