IS THAT YOUR VOICE, LORD?
Edited by Geoffrey Grogan
Christian Focus Publications. 240 pages
ISBN 1 85792 119 4

This book is a collection of testimonies of eight different kinds of people who have sought and discovered God's will for their lives. Some are full-time pastors or missionaries (including Joel Edwards, the new General Director of the Evangelical Alliance) but three have always been in secular work.

The opening and closing chapters are by Geoffrey Grogan himself, who has been a Bible college lecturer for many years. The book ends with a very readable chapter about the biblical principles of guidance, drawing upon a number of instances in the testimonies which have preceded it. He insists that all kinds of prophetic words must be tested by Scripture. 'If such words are placed on exactly the same level as Scripture . . . we are in trouble'.
