If you know a serious-minded, religious (preferably Protestant) person who is prepared to study Jesus' dialogue with Nicodemus in John chapter 3, this is a good book to give them.

The book attempts to show that: 'Nothing is so vile and evil as man-made religion.' Although true to its claims to be simply written, it is by no means a light read, and abounds in Bible references which the reader is required to look up for himself. Consequently, it took me most of an 80-minute train journey to read it, although it is very slim and has few words per page.
