Retired vicar and CPAS staff member killed in car crash

Retired vicar Steve Burch and former CPAS (Church Pastoral Aid Society) staff member Kathy Burch died after being struck by a car in Anglesey in August.

The couple, both 65, were visiting Beaumaris at the time of the crash on Alma Street. Kathy had worked as the PA to the CPAS Patronage Secretary for 17 years and retired earlier this year, while Steve had been in ministry for over 35 years, most recently serving as vicar of St James Fletchamstead in Coventry.

Reacting to the news on X, CPAS commented: ‘Kathy and Steve’s untimely deaths have come as a devastating shock to many, and our thoughts and prayers are especially with their children and family. We give thanks for the lives of Kathy and Steve Burch and entrust them into the care of their loving heavenly Father.’
