Multiple baptisms at new church plant
Association of Grace Baptist Churches (SE)
Thirty people have gathered to witness the
constitution of Grace Church Walthamstow
in North East London, and the induction of
’Wale Akinrogunde as the pastor.
Formerly known as Church Hill Baptist
Church, the original church was founded
in 1633 and stood as the oldest Reformed
Baptist Church in London, but sadly closed
down
in 2014. It was agreed that efforts
should be made to replant a church in the
same building.
Swindon baptisms
Six baptisms at North Swindon Baptist Church (NSBC) in December, led to a reflection on the past few years of God’s work there.
Planted out of Swindon Evangelical Church in what proved to be an excellent partnership with The Association of Baptists for World Evangelism around 15 years ago, the first pastor came in 2009.
JOY AT IRANIAN BAPTISMS
Elam Ministries reports that 246 people were baptised as Christians at a service on April 17.
Those baptised included 228 Iranians, 17 Afghans and one person from Pakistan. The service took place in a swimming pool at a secret location in a country bordering Iran to avoid interference from the Iranian authorities.
