Only half of British teenagers satisfied with their life
The UK has climbed up the international
school league tables for maths, science and
reading – but British teenagers are among
the least satisfied with their lives, a major
global study has found.
The
tests,
taken by 15-year-olds
in 79
countries and regions,
show
the UK has
improved its rankings on three years ago and
British pupils performed significantly better
in maths in 2018 than in 2015.
Agnostic
vicars
In an early Autumn poll conducted by
YouGov, 16% of Anglican clergy polled
have declared
that
they are agnostic or
‘unclear’ about God.
Of the 1500 anglican clergy questioned,
2% think God is no more than a human
construct.
Allegations
Patrick Sookhdeo was arrested on suspicion
of sexual assault on March 10.
Mr Sookhdeo has been released on police
bail until May. A spokeswoman for him
said: ‘Patrick strongly denies any allegations
that have been made against him but
is
working closely with the police to assist
with their investigation’.
