Kevin DeYoung at Scottish
Reformed Conference
The motto of Glasgow is ‘Let Glasgow flourish’.
It is the abbreviated version of the prayer
inscribed on the bell of the Tron Kirk which is
‘Let Glasgow flourish by the preaching of the
word and the praising of His name’.
The heart of the prayer is the name of
Jesus, and we flourish as we sing His praises
and proclaim, or hear proclaimed, His word
out of the Bible. This seems so ordinary
and lacking excitement that our society has
substituted for it trivial entertainment.
SRC: an Englishman, an Irishman and a Scotsman!
The 28th Scottish Reformed Conference took place on 13 May.
The preachers were ‘an Englishman, an Irishman and a Scotsman’ – Rupert Bentley-Taylor, Warren Peel and David Meredith, in that order.
Scottish Reformers
The 27th annual Scottish Reformed Conference took place on Saturday 14 May. The conference has been growing numerically since it was established.
Just short of 600 people, not including the large number of children, came to enjoy the activities and teaching.
