Affinity: union in Christ
The King’s Park Conference Centre,
Northampton, was the new venue for the
biannual Affinity theological conference
in early Spring.
Uniquely, the papers are made available via
Dropbox a few weeks earlier, then at the conference an opening outline is followed by small
group discussion followed by a summary.
Nottingham: still building
November 16 saw a gathering of 150 people
at Arnold Road Evangelical Church (FIEC),
in the north of Nottingham, to celebrate the
opening of their new building.
The civic ceremony began with the Lord
Mayor of Nottingham cutting the ribbon,
after which
the pastor declared
that
the
building was dedicated to the Lord Jesus
Christ for the glory of God. Other
local
dignitaries, including the MP and the Chief Inspector of Police, were present. Members
participating at the event included a talented
reggae singer honouring Jesus in song as the
congregation watched a photo animation of
the site’s transformation.
