This Congress is thelatest in a series of several global gatherings aiming to catalyse global mission. The first took place in 1974 in Lausanne, Switzerland, convened by evangelical leaders like John Stott and Billy Graham, while subsequent gatherings were in Manila in 1989 and Cape Town in 2010.
