Prayer for the floods

Dear Editor,
Please pray for us in Cumbria that victims
of the recent floods will call on the Lord in
their misery. Arguably,
in Cumbria more
than any other county, we have the greatest
evidence for God’s glory in creation. Many
folk are bitter and hearts hardened because
of the recent devastation. But our sovereign
Lord can pour out his Holy Spirit and glorify his name in the far flung north.
