Bishop John Taylor Smith was an evangelical with a great concern for the souls of servicemen in the Great War

John Taylor Smith, KCB, CVO, DD, was born in 1860.

He was born in Kendal and became the Anglican bishop of Sierra Leone at the end of the 19th century.
