UCCF is set to enter the second phase of the Uncover project by launching an interactive gospel.

Following on from the success of Uncover (where CU members have been reading the Bible with their non-Christian friends), UCCF’s sixth Gospel Project will carry the same name. Using Luke’s account of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus, the resource will host a number of interactive features utilising new technologies such as QR codes.

QR codes are ‘Quick Response’ codes which are sometimes referred to as 2D barcodes. Once the free QR code reader has been downloaded, Smartphone users can gain instant access to digital resources quickly wherever they are. For the Gospel Project this means that when Jesus raises a particular issue — like suffering, for example — end users can scan the assigned QR code with their phone and access a short video presentation by a leading evangelist on how a God of love can allow suffering. Or, when Jesus forgives the paralytic in Luke 5, end users can scan the code to watch a short film about Jesus’s unique claim to be God.
