George Hedger, Registrar at the Keswick Convention for ten years (1975-85), passed peacefully to his eternal rest on July 9.

He served with the Boys' Brigade in Manchester and became Chief Executive of the Campaigner Youth Movement (now known as Campaigners (England & Wales) before becoming a minister at 60 and a missionary at 74. He served with CMJ at Christ Church in Jerusalem for nearly three years, during which time he married Elise. They served together at the Garden Tomb in Israel during the First Gulf War. They volunteered several times in Israel since.

A private burial took place at Brockland Burial Site near Settle, North Yorkshire, in July and there was a Thanksgiving Service at Fleetwood Baptist Church on August 31.
