This is a lovely little book. It is deliberately little; it is a shortened version of Dan Clark’s previous book Dead or Alive? I can’t quite work out why the larger book sells at a pound cheaper than this one. However, apart from that, I can only speak highly of Alive!

13 very brief chapters, nicely laid out, with subdivisions, bullet points and cartoons make it exceptionally easy to read. The subject of the book is the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and the chapters progress logically, dealing with three crucial questions. Relevant? True? and So What? Just about every chapter ends with a brief, relevant and sometimes very remarkable testimony.

This is a great book to give away to anyone. Most evangelistic books are aimed at those who are interested in Christianity, but this starts with those not even interested in the gospel at all.

Dan Clark also manages to deal with the subjects of the existence of God, the problem of suffering, the reliability of the Scriptures at the same time as presenting the gospel clearly and persuasively. A lovely little book.
